Our idea of deck restoration is a lot different to most of our competitors. We go that extra mile in transforming your deck, by creating a blank canvas through deck sanding. Sanding not only removes old deck oils, it cleans away any dirt, flattens out the timber, and vitally closes the fibres of the timber. This last fact restricts water from seeping into the timber, prolonging its life.
Some companies just offer a ‘clean’ with store bought oxalic acid before coating, or even worse, water blasting. This will tear open the timber fibres and only succeeds in ageing your deck significantly, leaving it prone to rot and splintering. If you are promised a deck sanding, make sure they mean back to bare timber. This is where the real results are gained, and it’s only managed with correct equipment and a lot of hard work!
